Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Commercial. Residential. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Supervise other workers. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Team player. Punctuality. Employment terms options: Early morning. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
